Eat whole grains and your waistline will be thankfull to you

People who eat at least three servings of whole grains per day have much less fat in the abdomen and waist then another people

Eat whole grains instead of refined and your waistline will be thankful. Adults who consume three or more servings of whole grains per day and limiting intake of processed grains and refined on one meal a day with about 10 percent less fat in the abdomen and waist by people who do not feed as described above. Nicola McKeown, an expert at the research center for human consumption from Tufts University, convinces us that this form of child really works.

For example, a slice of 100-percent whole grain bread or a half cup of oatmeal is a serving of whole grains a day (eat at least three), a slice of white bread and half a cup of white rice is one serving of refined grains.

When the researchers added the other variables such as smoking, alcohol consumption, fruit, vegetables, amount of exercise, current physical condition of the results were still identical. So, eat whole grains.

The study involved 2834 people (both men and women) aged between 32 and 83 years. In addition to filling out questionnaires about their lifestyles, the participants went to scan the body in order to define the distribution of fat. However, it is important to note that consumption of whole grains had a positive effect if they are simultaneously consumed equal amounts of refined foods and cereals - for example, those who ate up to four servings of these foods (1 serving - for example, a half cup of white rice or a slice white bread) are not able to notice improvements to the waist and abdomen, even though they ate whole grains.

The conclusion is that a change in diet in the sense that certain things are replaced with others - not only to insert into your diet and adding whole grains. The point is simple, brown rice instead of white sandwich bread from whole grains instead of white and so on. The researchers acknowledge that the analysis should be implemented on a larger sample of people, but regardless, the current results already indicate the importance of a healthy diet. The research is described in detail in the journal The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
